The Violet May is an alternative rock act from Sheffield, England that made a name for itself in 2010 when it was named by Alan McGee at The Guardian as one of the best live acts in Sheffield. Following the band's sudden swath of public exposure, The Violet May gradually became a favorite live feature at some of the hippest clubs and festivals in England.
