On paper, the London-based band Films of Colour doesn't appear as anything special--and rightfully so. The quartet, formed in 2008, is from a country that's responsible for birthing some of the more notable acts to have ever rocked a stage and doesn't really have any sort of characteristic flair that rises the group to the forefront of notoriety. Fortunately, for the group, its music speaks for itself and is able to impress listeners with its instrumental adeptness and lyrical astuteness. Building a somewhat underground following in its native UK since its inception, Films of Colour hopes to expand its listener base to the United States by playing a number of industry music festivals like the renowned South By Southwest in Austin, Texas.
