Ever since catching a good amount of buzz in 2011 with a number of releases, American producer Mike Volpe, who releases music under his Clams Casino guise, has been one of the more hyped beatsmiths in recent memory. Initially sparking interest after producing a number of tracks for up-and-coming rapper Lil B, Volpe would also release a number of instrumental tracks that highlighted his soupy and textually rich sound. Tending to create music that values substance over style, Volpe's songs can differ greatly in nature, but they're nearly always methodically produced and worthy of repeated listens.
