Formed in 1978, Turkish folk ensemble Yeni Türkü (which fittingly translates to "New Folk Music' in Turkish) has prided itself on blending elements of traditional folk native to its homeland with more modern pop stylings. A band that crosses generations and cultures, the Yeni Türkü has performed in over 20 countries for the past 40 years.
