Known just as much for her rocky, public love life as for her voice, Sezen Aksu is a popular Turkish singer/songwriter and celebrity icon. Beginning her career in 1975 with the release of her first single, Aksu went on to produce many hit singles. Though she never managed to gain much of a fan base outside of her native Turkey, despite multiple entries into the Eurovision Song Contest, Aksu has still enjoyed a prolific career.
