The Wichita Shockers represents the athletic programs and intercollegiate teams of Wichita State University in Kansas. An NCAA Division I member, the school competes in the Missouri Valley Conference. Wichita State fields a variety of men's and women's teams in sports such as baseball, basketball, softball, tennis, golf, soccer and cross country. The school's men's basketball teams have made several runs in the NCAA and NIT tournaments over the years, and its men's baseball team won the national title in 1989.
