Joey Beltram

Queens, New York DJ/producer Joey Beltram is one of electronic music's most innovative figures. Beltram's "Energy Flash" and "Mentasm," each released during the 1990s, were pivotal tracks in defining dance music at the time. The latter used a particular synth riff, sometimes called the "mentasm riff," that would become a frequently used tool in everything from drum and bass to hard house. Beltram continues to tour and turn in the occasional remix, although his international presence is now as a legend more than a relevant figure in dance music.
