The Kristet Utseende or The Christian Appearance as it translates to, was formed in the early 90s. The band is a self-proclaimed pioneer within the genre of "Narcotic Gay Metal," which refers to its lyrics that deal with homosexuality, drug liberalism, Christianity and mysticism. Its debut album Sug och fräls (Suck and redeem) was released in 1994. In 1999 the band split only to reunite in 2005. One year later, the album Sieg Hallelujah was released with the single "Inferno Pervers," which reached number three on the Swedish charts.
