Wintercoats

Melbourne-based James Wallace has a penchant for the tinkly glockenspiel, hazy vocals and haunting ambient background sounds. Under the moniker of Wintercoats, he performs these characteristic sounds, creating a unique breed of avant-pop meets dreamy ambient. A multi-instrumentalist, Wallace performs alone, playing the piano, guitar, glockenspiel and violin--relying on a looping pedal to weave the instrumentation together into lush tracks. Wintercoats has steadily gained the attention of international music publications and continues to build a grassroots fan base.
