Though singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley only released one album before dying from a tragic drowning accident at the age of 30, his single LP, whilst acting as an epitaph for the musician's life, would go down in annals of music history as one of the best albums ever made. The son of popular folk musician Tim Buckley, who himself died at the young age of 28 from a drug overdose, Jeff Buckley would grow up in Southern California, learning how to play the guitar and sing at a young age. After moving to New York City, Buckley would build a name for himself by playing in various cafes in the city's East Village. After a well-respected reputation was solidified with his impressive vocal rage and characteristic guitar stylings, Buckly was soon being courted by record labels that were eager to sign the obviously talented musician. Deciding to go with Columbia, Buckly amassed a group of instrumentalists to record his debut album, Grace. The LP would be released in 1994 and despite initial listener apprehension during its immediate release, years after its distribution, many have come to regard the album with extremely high praise.
