London-based singer/songwriter Tom Baxter has dabbled in folk, rock and pop music. Raised by parents who were regulars in the folk music scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s, Baxter was encouraged from an early age to pursue music and decided to attend music school in 1992. After making the rounds at open mike nights and small venues around London, he earned residencies at Bush Hall and The Bedford where he attracted industry attention. He signed with Columbia Records and released his debut album Feather and Stone, to critical acclaim in 2004, earning regular radio play and his own headlining tour of the UK. Baxter recorded his follow up album Skybound, independently before the record was released by Charisma Records in 2008.
