Comprised of Swedish musicians Joel Karlsson and Henrik Markstedt, the electronic duo Air France makes a style of music with defined ethereal sounds and dream-like sonic textures. The group released its debut EP On Trade Winds in 2006, but Air France didn't receive fairly widespread critical acclaim until it dropped its second EP No Way Down in 2008. Creating songs that nod to the forward-thinking tropicalia movement of the early 21st Century as well as the ambient house scene of the 1980s, Air France has managed to build a reputation for itself in the modern electronic scene and be well respected by most, if not all, well versed music connoisseurs.
