Drawing influences from the quirks and strings of the Dirty Projectors, the sparse violin of Avro Part, the storytelling vocals of classic country, and wrapping it all up in an indie folk package, The Milkman's Union initially started as the solo project of Henry Jamison in 2005. Based out of Portland, Maine, the band is now a trio that has released several albums, which have drawn acclaim in smaller underground circles. Though The Milkman's Union is far from well-known, it seems content to follow its own path and create music worthy of underground praise.
