Beginner is a hip-hop act from Hamburg, Germany. The band was formed in 1991 and rapped partly in English and German. After the band decided only to perform in German, Beginner released its debut album, Flashnizm, in 1996. The lyrics of Beginner's music typically centers around anti-racist themes which are more often than than not sung by the very high pitched and unusual voice of singer Jan Delay.
