Fünf Sterne Deluxe is the name of a German hip-hop group from Hamburg. Consisting of four people, three DJs and one MC, they were among the first German-language hip-hop groups to help make rap music a major thing in Germany in the late 1990s. Due to their funny and humorous lyrics they were much liked by their fans, but also controversially discussed among "real"hip-hop fans, accusing the band of selling out the idea of rap music. The band split up in 2004. One of the members of Fünf Sterne Deluxe was the Rapper Das Bo, who launched a successful solo career after the band has split up.
