Elephant Stone is an indie pop band from Montreal that rose to fame through constructing a unique style of pop-rock music that incorporates Indian classical music, particularly through the use of the sitar. The band's 2009 debut album, The Seven Seas, was listed as a nominee for Canada's prestigious Polaris Music Prize that same year. Following the band's debut success and the release of its second full-length album in 2010, Elephant Stone stands poised and ready to begin touring internationally, beginning with the United States in 2011.
