Doe Paoro is an electronic music artist from Brooklyn who describes her music as "Ghost Soul." With an ethereal voice that is often compared to the vocal stylings of Lykke Li and James Blake, Paoro is highly inspired by Lhoma, a powerful and vocally difficult Tibetan-style opera that she encountered while traveling by herself through the Himalayas. Her journey deeply influenced her music, particularly her 2011 debut single "Can't Leave You," a song crafted with spacious arrangements and punctuated with passion. Paoro planned her debut during an isolated stay in a cabin near her hometown and released the result, her Slow to Love album, in 2012.
