Indie rock band High Places is comprised of multi-instrumentalist Rob Barber and vocalist Mary Pearson. The duo met in Michigan while Pearson was studying bassoon, soon after moving to Brooklyn to develop the band. Using a variety of instruments and electronic equipment, the band produces a mixed, funky, and entrancing sound. With Pearson's smooth, sometimes haunting voice, their often bass-driven music achieves a unique tone, resonating with today's indie-loving youth.
