A country singer-songwriter, Catherine Gritt was born and brought up in Newcastle, NSW. She moved to the United States at the age of 17 after being recommended to labels by Elton John and gained insight into the music industry. Known for her soulful voice and organic country music, she’s had the honor to share the stage and record with legends such as Dolly Parton, Steve Earle and Chris Isaac. Her contribution to the sphere of country music grew exponentially with her role as a radio broadcaster on ABC’s Saturday Night Show, a TV host on CMC’s Alt-Country program, and the owner and editor of Australia’s premier roots music magazine. Besides receiving commercial praise for her work, Catherine Britt is also one of the few artists to win four golden guitars at Country Music Awards of Australia.
