ARIA and APRA award-winning country musician Lee Kernaghan was named Australian of the Year in 2008. Born in Mildura, Kernaghan is only a cowboy by the hat he wears. Although he sticks to the roots of country, his music is more than the traditional rhythm of the genre. Kernaghan made his first noticeable mark in the industry by representing Australia in the 1986 edition of the Nashville 'Fan Fair' country music festival. He debuted in 1993 with the album The Outback Club. The albums Three Chain Road, Electric Rodeo and Beautiful Noise followed soon after. Lee Kernaghan has authored The Boy from the Bush, These Are My Songs, These Are My Stories which hit the shelves in 2015. With singles like "Boys from the Bush," "Leave Him in the Longyard," "A Bushman Can't Survive" and "Flying with the King" topping the charts, Kernaghan has wooed country music fans all across Australia.
