Capitalizing on the prevalence of the pop-punk band in the early 2000's, Berlin 5-piece 5Bugs modeled its sound after the style of music made for alternative high schoolers, crafting the type of songs that beg to be blasted in a teenager's first car, or in headphones meant to drown out a biology lecture. Though the band's music may not be particularly original or mature, the fact that it has managed to stick around, maintaining this high school mindset and fan base for the past 10 years is impressive.
