Y & T

Formed in 1973 in San Francisco under the moniker Yesterday & Today, after The Beatles song, Y & T created lively classic rock in the vein of AC/DC and KISS. Incidentally, Y & T would go on to open for both. While it had an impressive live show, the band wasn't able to transfer this energy to the studio, and thus never attained the commercial success and the rock stardom it hoped for. While it did receive a reasonable amount of international fame, the band finally disbanded in disappointment in the early 1990s. With a resurgence of interest in its particular style of music, however, Y & T reformed in 2010, releasing reissues, recording a new album, and touring extensively.
