Formed in 1993, Space is an alternative rock band from Liverpool that was conceived by Tommy Scott, Andy Parle, Jamie Murphy and Franny Griffiths. Following a string of well-received singles, the band dropped its debut album Spiders, in 1996. Over the next couple of years the album spawned three sold-out tours and introduced the band to an international audience. Honing its classic rock-inspired sound, Space coasted through the 1990s but began to feel the weight of touring and time as the members musical directions began to veer in different directions. After the release of 2004's Suburban Rock 'n' Roll, Scott was the only founding member remaining in the band, until 2011 when Murphy and Griffiths reunited with him for the first time in a decade.
