Gorod is a technical death metal band from Bordeaux, France that interjects adept instrumentation into hard rock song structures to create a unique sound that has won the group praise from the European metal community. Founded in 1997, the band would go on to tour around France for a few years before deciding to enter the studio to record its 2000 debut LP. Having become more and more popular with each consecutive album release, Gorod has built a reputation as being one of the more virtuosic metal bands of its generation.
