Born and raised in Queens, New York, Jocelyn B. Smith began classical piano training at age 5 when her parents noticed her penchant for music. With a background of 17 years of classical training, Smith was more than efficient on her instrument of choice and by age 23 she first began touring with various groups, including Lenny White, Rick James and CHANGE. During one of her world tours in the 80s, she played in Berlin, which would become the site of her largest fan base and of her future second home. With her soulful vocals and jazzy instrumentation, Jocelyn B. Smith is a staple on the adult contemporary market.
