Glam rock outfit Wig Wam formed in Norway in the early 2000s, basing its style off of the 80s classic rock movement, particularly off of American glam band KISS. After coming in 9th place in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, the band found huge success in its home country and moderate success in both Iceland and Sweden. Going by their stage names--Glam, Teeny, Flash and Sporty--Wig Wam members might invoke images of the Spice Girls, but with incessant touring and after hiring a proper distribution company to release its albums worldwide, the group found global fame. In June of 2010, the band was the supporting act for its idol KISS in Oslo.
