Dark Dark Dark

Minneapolis sextet Dark Dark Dark creates lush, quirky chamber folk that is entirely unique. Formed in 2006 by multi-instrumentalists and singers Nona Marie Invie and Marshall LaCount, the duo slowly expanded its lineup over the years to allow for more diverse and instrumentally complex arrangements. Combining distorted banjo, accordion, piano and slightly morbid lyrics that are nevertheless entirely charming, particularly when crooned by Invie's rich voice, the band has gained a reputation for its absolutely flawless live performances. Maturing its sound with each release, Dark Dark Dark is a band to keep an eye on and to witness live if ever given the opportunity.
