The Dodos

A stringed-instruments like the guitar is typically the center "lead" instrument in a modern rock band. Taking this formula, and flipping it on its head has given San Francisco-based indie rock outfit The Dodos a unique take on music. With the drums being the focus of the band's music, the group has stumbled upon a sound that has helped the group stand out from several other contemporary acts out there. Founded in 2005, The Dodos has been a stalwart fallback of the Bay Area music scene, despite the rise, fall, crash and burn of many of the band's local peers.
