Sleepy Sun

Based in San Francisco by way of Santa Cruz, Sleepy Sun is a rock band that owns a strong psychedelic sound. Formed in 2005 as Mania, the band first offered straight forward garage rock before its style developed into psychedelia and the group adopted its new name. Sleepy Sun self-released its debut album Embrace, in 2008, only to be picked up by ATP Recordings who re-released the record the following year. The band has since toured the US several times on its own headlining tours as well as in support of the English rock band Arctic Monkeys, spreading its signature, hybrid San Francisco/Santa Cruz sound to the rest of the country.
