The Vancouver-based psychedelic indie rock band Black Mountain was founded in 2004. With a sound that blends vintage sonics with modern production methods, the group has managed to distinguish itself on the modern music circuit. Black Mountain released its debut album in 2005 and has since released additional well-recieved LPs.
