Swedish composer, vocalist and lyricist Jeanette Lindström studied traditional jazz growing up, but soon realized that she enjoyed the more experimental aspects of jazz. This led to Lindström composing her own pop-influenced nu-jazz songs, which she performed around venues in her hometown of Östersund and eventually in Stockholm. With her fourth solo album, Middle of this Riddle, Lindström received enough acclaim to win her a spot on the prestigious Saint-Germain des-Pres Café compilation series, alongside musicians like Norah Jones. Her subsequent album Attitude and Orbit Control garnered her a Swedish Grammy and since then Lindström has enjoyed national success.
