Mats Gustafsson doesn't sing - he plays the saxophone. But this by no means hinders the Swedish-born Gustafsson from communicating feelings and telling stories within his music. The mastery of the instrument Gustafsson plays gives him a unique ability that few instrumentalists possess and even though there are no vocals in the unique Scandinavian free jazz music that he plays, there are defined plot lines and moral messages in many of his songs.
