Widely known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Spoon, Britt Daniel is a singer/songwriter, musician and producer from Austin, TX. After spending his early years as a musician in a string of different bands, he began releasing solo material under the moniker Drake Tungsten, starting with 1991's The Town's Gone Dry. A couple of years later in 1993, he teamed up with Eno, Greg Wilson and Andy McGuire to form the alternative rock band Spoon, which released its debut album Telephono, in 1996. The band has been steadily releasing material since then while Daniel continued to collaborate with various artists including Bright Eyes and White Rabbits. Daniel released his first record under his real name Home: Volume IV, in 2002.
