Hailing from Kyoto, Hotel Mexico is an electronic music project that emerged out of the Japanese indie scene in 2010. With a sound that fuses synthpop with chillwave, the band released its debut EP 3 Songs, in 2010, offering hypnotic, soothing yet intricate pop tunes. Hotel Mexico quickly earned accolades from music blogs and eventually international mainstream music sources with each subsequent release, collecting a fan base and a record contract with Double Denim Records. The band dropped first record with the label, an EP titled Space In The Loveless Field in 2012, followed shortly by its first full-length album in 2013.
