California Bay Area-based band Rings of Saturn is a deathcore band that was formed in 2009 while its members were still in high school. With a sound that bridges technical death metal with progressive metal, the band self-released its debut album, Embryonic Anomaly, in 2010 and quickly earned the attention of Unique Leader Records, who offered the band a recording contract. After its members graduated from school, Rings of Saturn embarked on its first few tours, collecting a following and re-releasing its debut LP along the way. Though the band suffered several lineup changes, leaving guitarist Lucas Mann as the only remaining founder, Rings of Saturn continues to release records such as 2013's Dingir, expanding its fan base with its fast-paced guitar stylings and extreme heavy metal sound.
