Natalie Maines is a singer/songwriter who is probably best known as the lead vocalist of the popular female country band Dixie Chicks. After leaving Berklee College of Music in 1995, Maines was drafted by the Dixie Chicks as its frontwoman. Striking out on her own, Maines would release her debut solo album, Mother, in 2013.
