Argentinos Juniors is one of Argentina's few football clubs apart from the big five, that have claimed domestic as well as continental glory. Established in 1904, the team was wasted no time in becoming one of the most popular of the first division. Through its history, the team has bagged several major honors, including Primera División and Copa Libertadores. Known for its exemplary youth academy, this is where the legendary Diego Maradona learnt the game and first kicked a ball professionally. While Maradona is the club's golden boy, it has also fielded several other world class players including Esteban Cambiasso, Juan Pablo Sorín and Lucas Biglia.
