Jannis Siopis is a German musician who first wadded into sonic waters as a child, learning how to play clarinet and trumpet at a young age. Matched with a love of breakdancing, graffiti and turntables, Siopis love of music was pushed further when he moved to Berlin in 1997 and began DJing at numerous nightclubs around the city. After refining his skills and finding his true sound, in 2003 Siopis released his debut single, "Welcome to Berlin," and the song's astute production combined with its ear-worm likability helped introduce Siopis to a wide swath of new fans.
