Andrea Echeverri

Andrea Echeverri is a singer/songwriter from Bogota, Colombia who is widely-known as one of the more outspoken proponents of feminism on the modern South American music scene. With a soft, melodic sound that highlights her acoustic guitar playing, she released her eponymous debut album in 2005. Building off an alternative rock style that brought a handful of American female songwriters to prominence in the 1990s, Echeverri's sound is equally matched by her political ideologies and often explicit, confrontational lyrics.
