Mexican rock musician Chetes is the son of a founding member of the Bay Area band Los Rockets and is a singer-songwriter in his own right. In 2005 Chetes released his debut album, Blanco Facil, produced in part by the former drummer of Wilco, Uncle Tupelo and Ken Coomer. Chetes claims to be primarily influenced by such bands as The Beatles and The Beach Boys. His music definitely cashes in on a certain nostalgic, dream-pop gauziness with fuzzy guitar feedback and dizzy synths.
