Fresno is a Brazilian rock band that emerged in 1999. Formed by high school friends who started out playing punk versions of pop hits, Fresno toured around its native Brazil for several years--honing its sound and polishing its live approach--before entering the studio to record its 2003 debut LP, Quarto dos Livros. Having since gone on to evolve its sound into a fairly accessible emo-pop style, Fresno has firmly established itself as a formidable talent on the modern Brazilian music scene.
