Red Dragon Cartel is the hard rock project of former Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands guitar virtuoso Jake E. Lee. The half-American, half-Japanese West Virginia native beat out of 500 other musicians auditioning to replace the late Randy Rhoads as lead guitarist of in Ozzy Osbourne's band, and went on to tour the world and record classic metal records with the iconic outfit for the next four years. After another successful stint in Badlands, Lee suffered severe personal tragedies and stepped away from music making. Slowly emerging from retirement, he formed Red Dragon Cartel as his first official solo project and recorded his 2014 debut album, Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel, with a number of legendary singers, from Cheap Trick's Robin Zander to Iron Maiden's Paul DiAnno.
