Initially known as Birdlips, GEMS is the dream pop project of Washington, D.C.-based artists Lindsay Pitts and Clifford John Usher. With an affinity for hazy soundscapes and a saccharine pop sensibility, the duo captured the lush sound of its debut EP, Medusa, which was released on Never Age Records in 2013.
