LASK Linz is a football club from the state capital Linz of Austria. The club competes in the Austrian Bundesliga, the top tier of Austrian football. The team was formed in 1908 and is the oldest football club from Upper-Austria. Linz won its only Austrian League title in 1965, however numerous problems on and off the pitch hampered its chances of reclaiming its glory. By the 2012-13 season, the team was relegated to the third tier of Austrian football. However a swift change in ownership and management brought the club back to winning ways and earned its place in the Bundesliga once again in 2017.
