One of the biggest names in Brazilian football, Fluminense FC is a Brazilian football club that features regularly in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Campeonato Carioca. Formed in 1902, Fluminense plays its home games at the historic Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro and are notorious for many intense rivalries with clubs like Botafogo, Vasco da Gama and primarily with Flamengo. This rivalry with Flamengo is so passionate that it draws large crowds and is known globally as the “Fla-Flu”. Fondly known as “Fluzão”, the club has won several accolades in its illustrious history except the Copa Libertadores, a title which eludes them to this day.
