El Gran Silencio is an alternative rock band from Monterrey, Mexico that released its debut album, Libres y Locos, in 1999. Blending an assortment of modern rock styles like nu metal and post hardcore with traditional Hispanic sonic flavors, El Gran Silencio manages to make a style of music that's well suited for Central and South American alternative rock fans.
