Ashley Gearing is a country pop singer who made history in 2003 when she became the youngest solo artists to enter the country charts at age 13. The debut hit single "Can You Hear Me When I Talk to You?" quickly captured the attention of modern country audiences, first around her hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts and then on a national level. After several major labels went head-to-head in a bidding war, Gearing signed with Lyric Street, Disney's country music imprint, who officially dropped the single leading up to the release of her first LP, Maybe It's Time, which was eventually released in 2006 on the independent label Squeeze Records.
