Elzbieta "Ela" Steinmetz (singer, songwriter and pianist), Yvonne Grünwald (accordionist) and Natalie Plöger (contrabassist) are the members of the German folk-pop band Elaiza. The female trio founded the band in the beginning of 2013 and won the German newcomer award in the same year. They entered the competition on YouTube to become the German act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Elaiza won after several rounds and made the 18th place in Copenhagen, Denmark, where they performed their single " Is It Right". The single gained over two million views on YouTube within the first month. In 2014 Elaiza released their debut album Gallery.
