RC Lens

RC Lens is a football club from the northern city of Lens in the Pas-de-Calais department. Lens was founded in 1906 and spent most of its early years in the lower divisions. In 1998, it made history when it won its first ever Ligue 1 title. While the club has never really able to establish its dominance over the French league, it has been home to a number of great players such as Raphaël Varane, Rigobert Song and Seydou Keita.
