Born Shayna McHayle, Junglepussy rapped with her high school group 'Primp' until she graduated. She later went on to study fashion and take up a retail job, which is when she started a YouTube channel for her own amusement. Pastime turned into a full-blown career the moment she released her single "Cream Team" on her channel which preceded the single "Stitches." Her debut mixtape Satisfaction Guaranteed released in 2014. Her album Pregnant with Success came out in 2015 and was praised by many including major music publications like the Rolling Stones.
